Our Internship Programs run all year round, whether you’re looking for a summer post, or you have just graduated and are looking to develop your skills and get a real-life experience. The programs are offered at our headquarters in Nicosia, as well as at our Limassol offices, subject to availability.

Job Description

Job Title:             Administrative Assistant

Job Location:      Nicosia, Cyprus

Position Type:    Full Time

Salary Range:     In accordance with experience and qualifications

Department:      Admin & Accounting Department

Report to:           Accounting Manager

Job Summary: 

Proper handling of the front desk, ensuring all incoming and outgoing calls, faxes and emails are attended to in addition to professionally attending to and welcoming organization’s guests.

Preparation and completion of documents in administrative capacity (applications, letters, forms, agreements, confirmations, certificates, etc) and managing office supplies. Travelling, meetings and events agenda and/or itinerary arrangement upon request. Providing secretarial support services to our team as requested.

Preparation, examination and analysis of accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports. Reconciliation of accounts, invoicing and issuing receipts. Computing taxes owed (VAT) and preparing VAT returns, preparation and submission of VIES Reports, establishing tables of accounts, and assigning entries to proper accounts. Developing, implementing, modifying and documenting the recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of E-soft and/or any other relevant software.

Payroll preparation and Social Insurance calculation and other funds payment. Developing, maintaining and analyzing budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

Handling documentation for relevant authorities (e.g. Tax Authorities, Social Insurance, etc), including visiting their premises in person, in accordance with each assigned task. Performing any other job-related duties as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Proficient user of MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Previous experience with E-Soft software will be considered an advantage;
  • Able to learn new software quickly;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Able to work as part of the team;
  • Pleasant personality;
  • Highly motivated;
  • Able to multitask;
  • Highly organized;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting and/or other relevant disciplines;
  • LCCI Level 3 IAS: Certificate in Accounting;
  • Related working experience will be considered an advantage;
  • Computer Literate;
  • Proficient user of Greek and English language.

Job Specifications: 

  • Office position;
  • Occasional inland travel to clients’ premises;

Report to:           Audit Manager

Job Summary: 

Performs independent audits of small, medium and large size companies under the supervision of an Audit Manager. Conducts the planning of the audit and follow all the steps of a complete audit procedure. Identifies weaknesses and risks in the audit and offers suggestions on how to handle them. Assists in advanced assurance engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct the planning of the audit work;
  • Check and prepare all audit documentation;
  • Perform audit workings and tests to verify the validity, accuracy, completeness of the clients accounting information;
  • Carry out audit tests;
  • Conduct field work of internal control evaluation;
  • Identify possible risks or errors in systems and controls and provide suggestions on how to handle them;
  • Draft audit reports;
  • Assist in advance assurance engagements such as management reports, due diligence, financial information analysis and more;
  • Conduct tax computations and prepares tax returns;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Proficient user of MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Proficient user of Caseware Working Papers;
  • Able to learn new software quickly (CaseWare International and other Audit Software);

Job Summary: 

Maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization. Prepares accounting records for small, medium and large size companies by complying and analyzing account information, under the supervision of an Accounting Manager. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
  • Reconciliation of Debtors, Creditors and Bank;
  • Compute taxes owed (VAT) and prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other VAT requirements;
  • Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts;
  • Preparation and submission of VIES Reports;
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of E-soft and other current computer technology;
  • Invoicing and issuing receipts;
  • Identify possible risks or errors in systems and controls and provide suggestions on how to handle them;
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data;
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages;
  • Determine payroll liabilities by calculating PAYE social insurance and other funds payment;
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs;
  • Represent clients before taxing authorities and provide support;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Proficient user of MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Able to learn new software quickly (Eurosoft, Patsoft – Time Sheets, and other Accounting software);
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Able to work as part of the team;

  • Able to work under pressure, meeting deadlines;
  • Previous experience with an Accounting software is required. Being a proficient user of E-Soft will be considered an advantage.

  • One year of related working experience. Additional experience will be considered an advantage;
  • Computer Literate;
